Wishing you a Great 2009!

Wishing everybody a great 2009. Hope you'll have a good year and better than the last one. I'll certainly be determined that this year will be better than 2008.

Didn't get any of my wargaming plans off the ground last year mainly due to my severe financial difficulties. Being unemployed with hardly any interviews and the credit crunch doesn't help either. Somehow I will get a job this year. My financial situation will improve which is all I need to get those plans off the ground. I had planned to build a new WW2 Army for use with Rapid Fire! or Blitzkrieg Commander either being British or American. Last year I also joined the group that plays at the club on Tuesday nights who call themselves the Great Grimsby Gaming Group. Very friendly bunch and it's always busy. While doing so I came across a game I liked the look of with great miniatures to go with. The game was Uncharted Seas. The ship models for this game are really good, reasonably priced. Rules are good too. Wanted to buy a fleet and play that at the club on Tuesday nights too. There are at least half a dozen lads who play that game on Tuesdays. I'll see if I can sneak in a few photos of their ships at some point in the next few months.

On a personal note I am hoping to lay a few ghosts to rest finally, some relating to previous employment which were not dealt with fairly leaving many questions still unanswered with the whole thing being a mess. It should help me find some proper closure from it too as I have not been able to find any so far. These matters led to me being unemployed. Of course nothing will be happening till I once again return to get some more legal advice. That's all I will say on it for now. At the same time I am seeking to make a fresh start somewhere else and get back on my feet. Matters will be resolved one way or another.

Wishing everybody a happy and prosperous new year! Hope the current economic downturn isn't causing you too much distress. If it does, hope it improves for you.

Thanks for the blog, Jason. Much enjoyed again this year.

2008 was a tough year for you, if I remember correctly. Hang in there, enjoy the good memories and let the Cr-p go, its history.

The very best for 2009, good luck and good wargaming.

best wishes
